Membership is typically by invitation from an existing member. Prospective members attend meetings, fill out an application, and pay membership dues. You must be at least 18 years old and have an interest in community service. To join Lions Club of Kathmandu Eureka, interested candidates who don't have any connection can fill the online application form and wait for our response.
You must be of legal majority, have good moral character, and a good reputation in the community. Membership approval is generally by the club's executive committee after a few meetings and application submission.
Yes, based upon the membership category you are required to pay the standard membership dues set by the individual lions clubs. To join Lions Club of Kathmandu Eureka before 2026, New membership application fee is NPR 15,000.0 for general members and NPR 11,000.00 for Leos who want to Lions. Annual regular fees is NPR 11,000/- for general members while NPR 9,000/- for Leo-Lion Members.
Lions Clubs offer various membership types including regular active members, privileged members (due to illness or age), life members (long-term members with certain qualifications), associate members who support but have limited obligations, and family memberships. Once we receive your membership application form, our committee will discuss and finalize which types best suit you or you are eligible for.
Members are expected to attend meetings, participate in community service projects, fundraising events, and help make a positive impact locally and internationally. Membership provides opportunities for leadership development and networking.
